⸻
Before Your Appointment
The process begins with a consultation intake and review to determine whether paramedical tattooing is appropriate for you at this time. Surgical sites must be fully healed and stable before treatment.
During the consultation process, we will discuss your goals, review healing status, and determine the right treatment for you..
You are encouraged to ask questions at any time. There is no obligation to proceed.
What to wear
For treatment appointments:
• Wear comfortable clothing that minimizes rubbing the area after your tattoo. (It will have a tattoo bandage to protect the area)
• Avoid tight garments that may irritate the treatment area
• Eat normally and stay hydrated
• Arrive with realistic expectations and an open conversation about goals
⸻
During Your Appointment
Appointments are conducted in a private, one-on-one studio setting.
Before any tattooing begins:
• Design and placement are reviewed
• Color tones are discussed, placed on the skin with an applicator for you to see in a mirror and we will adjust as necessary
• You approve the placement, design details and pigment choice before proceeding
We will communicate throughout the process.
When we begin the tattoo process it takes about 2-3 hours to complete.
For your cohort we will make sure:
• Communication remains open
• You may pause at any time
•. Numbing cream can be used for your comfort
• Breaks are available as needed
• The pace is steady and unhurried
Paramedical tattooing is a collaborative process.

Sensation & Comfort
Sensation varies depending on the individual and the condition of the tissue. Scar tissue may respond differently than unaffected skin.
Many clients describe the sensation as manageable. Comfort measures are discussed prior to beginning, and adjustments can be made throughout the session.
You are encouraged to communicate openly about comfort at all times.
⸻
Aftercare & Healing
Mild redness or sensitivity immediately after treatment is normal. Color will appear more intense initially and will soften during the healing process.
Healing timelines vary depending on skin condition and surgical history. Detailed aftercare instructions are provided at your appointment, and follow-up guidance is available if needed.
Results are designed to appear natural and realistic once healed.
Some mild loss of pigment can happen during the healing process. A follow up session may be necessary to touch up any details.
⸻
Emotional Considerations
Restoration can be a meaningful step for some individuals. Others approach it simply as a practical decision. There is no “correct” way to feel.
Emotional responses — or the absence of them — are equally valid. The environment is respectful, private, and patient-led.
